Laser Hair Removal

There is no evidence that laser hair removal causes infertility. The lasers only penetrate the skin level to where the hair root lies and do not reach or affect any other organs. Laser hair removal is safe, even in sensitive areas such as the groin.

Seriously, anywhere. Our machine can cover large places fast. Legs, back, underarms, bikini line, stomach, face…There is no limit to the places you can get laser hair removal.

The most important thing to do before your first treatment is to stop waxing or plucking 3 weeks prior to your appointment. Also, for best results, you will want to make sure you are applying sunscreen throughout the course of the treatments to avoid any hypersensitivity to your skin.

The number of treatments you will require depends on area to be treated. Legs, bikini, under-arms could take 6 treatments. Other more hormonal areas could require 8 treatments. They are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart to effectively reduce hair growth.

Lasers will permanently reduce the amount of hair growth. Some areas of the body will experience permanent removal of hair while other areas may need some maintenance from time to time. After each visit, hair growth will be further reduced and you will require fewer sessions.

The most common sensation felt during the procedure is a small pinch, like a rubber band is being snapped against your skin. The feeling only lasts a few seconds and generally stops when the laser does. Our cooling equipment and lasers with large spot sizes help to minimize discomfort.

Yes, the procedure is safe when performed by skilled professionals and with the proper equipment. The laser emits light energy that specifically targets the hair follicle. It eliminates the hair while the surrounding skin remains unharmed. At Advanced Laser we only use lasers approved by Health Canada.

Microneedling

Using PRP alongside-traditional microneeding treatments results in smoother, firmer skin. But as with other microneedling procedures, these results won’t last forever. After you finish your course of treatment, you will need to follow up once a year for potential maintenance. You may able to extend your results of treatments by:

• avoiding direct sun exposure,
• wearing sunscreen everyday
• cleansing skin with a gentle cream (exfoliants may irritate your skin after receiving this procedure)
• moisturizing your skin properly
• avoiding picking or scratching your face

Bruisesnand inflammation are the most common side effects. They typically appearnimmediately after the procedure, and clear within four to five days. You willnwant to avoid sun exposure and harsh skin treatments during this time.

Before –nArrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment time, to fill out any paper worknand for numbing cream to be applied to area that is being treated.

During – Your Nurse Practitioner ornMedical Aesthetician will apply a professional-grade device to your face andnmove it in sweeping or circular motions. A syringe of blood will be drawn, nusually from your arm while your face is numbing.  The blood is then put into a centrifuge, nwhich separates the PRP from the blood. The PRP solution is then massaged intonthe treatment area either during or after microneedling. The microneedlingntreatment opens channels into the skin, allowing for good penetration of thenPRP. In the past, PRP has been injected into the skin, but it’s becoming morenof a common practice to use it along with microneedling. .

After – Once the Procedure isnfinished, your Nurse or Medical Aesthetician will apply a Hyaluronic Acid Serumnto soothe any redness, dryness and irritation. They may also use a portion ofnthe blood drawn known as platelet-poor plasma.

TraditionalnMicroneedling is used to treat everything from age spots and wrinkles and othernforms of hyperpigmentation. PRP injections may boost these effects and achievenyour desired results faster. Although Microneedling can be used to treat scarsnand stretch marks on other areas of the body.

Microneedlingnis a cosmetic procedure, that primarily used to minimize the signs of aging.nDuring a standard session, your Nurse Practitioner or Medical Aesthetician usesna special device with needles to prick the skin and stimulate new collagennproduction. Because of this, Microneedling is also known as collagen inductionntherapy. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections can be added to the session fornan additional cost. Microneedling with PRP is said to create more tightness innthe skin and speed the healing process alone.
